DescriptionJob Purpose:
- The Controller at Cescaphe Event Group will be responsible for directing and overseeing all financial activities of the company. This includes the preparation of current financial reports as well as summaries and forecasts for future business growth and general economic outlook. The Controller will play a critical role in developing and implementing financial procedures to improve and maintain the financial health of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's objectives and ensure financial sustainability.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to the executive team and stakeholders.
- Manage the company's financial planning and analysis, ensuring accurate and timely financial data is available for decisionmaking.
- Direct and oversee all aspects of the finance and accounting functions of the organization.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, including tax and audit requirements.
- Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute strategic initiatives.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks to safeguard the company's assets and financial interests.
- Evaluate and manage investment opportunities to optimize the company's financial performance.
- Serve as a key advisor to the CEO on financial matters, providing insights and recommendations to drive business growth.
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- A Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field is highly preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is advantageous.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position.
- Proven track record of managing financial operations in a complex organizational environment, preferably within the event management or hospitality industry.
- Experience in strategic planning, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
- Demonstrated success in driving financial performance and implementing financial systems and controls.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively presenting financial information to nonfinancial stakeholders.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in the financial sector.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other senior executives to drive organizational growth and efficiency.
