Baer is looking for Cloud Operations Kubernetes Engineer for a 3-month Federal Remote Project.

Title: Cloud Operations Kubernetes Engineer
Location: Remote (Must be based in US)
Duration: 3 months
Rate: All-inclusive
Alignment: W2 or C2C (Vendors Not Permitted)

Responsibilities:

Administer and operate the AWS environment to support application modernization for an API platform.
Provide comprehensive operations support to all development teams, including code promotions using Helm and Flyway across higher environments.
Act as a developer within the team to analyze, design, and build systems using multiple components on a microservices architecture project.
Develop and maintain application code in Java, , Kafka, Akka, Redis, and other technologies as needed.
Support the deployment and management of applications using OpenShift and Docker in an Agile development setting.
Collaborate with teams to ensure efficient delivery of services and resolve any operational issues.
Engage in continuous learning and application of best practices in cloud operations and microservices architecture.

Experience Requirements:

Proficiency in Linux and Shell Scripting.
Extensive experience with Helm, Kubernetes, and Containers.
Solid understanding of code management and deployment tools.
Familiarity with Kafka and AWS.
Experience with database management systems such as Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, and MongoDB.
Practical knowledge of additional container technologies
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Public Trust Security Clearance is the lowest level of additional background screening that the federal government requires for applicants of certain jobs, which includes completing a Standard Form 85 (SF85) form.
