Supply Chain Inventory Buyer

We here at the Gustave A Larson Company are looking for our next team member to join us as a Supply Chain Inventory Buyer. What qualities are we looking for?

We are an HVAC/R wholesale distributor throughout the Midwest and Mountain States. Some responsibilities and examples include:

• Customer Focused we are passionate about serving all of our customers, including both our internal team members and our suppliers. We meet customers' needs by maintaining positive business relationships and delivering on our promises.
• Inventory Systems Knowledge Place daily replenishment orders for stock as well as purchasing special and direct ship orders for customer requirements. Manage order adjustments as necessary to ensure transaction accuracy. Manage open purchase order reporting to understand expected receipt dates, past due order follow-ups, and expedite orders as needed to prevent stock outs.
• Strategic Inventory Management & Purchasing - Your Supply Chain experience should include - Lead inventory planning strategy through historical sales activity as well as new sales projections, through collaboration with field sales team, product managers, and store managers. Work with sales and product management to implement inventory forecast for events seasonal buys, inventory promotions, and projects. Successfully manage inventory through the product life cycle to minimize slow moving and obsolete material to maintain a healthy inventory balance.
• Attention to Detail - Provide customer service expertise and support to inventory analysis, purchasing, and Microsoft Excel.

Candidates should have:

• 2 years minimum experience in purchasing or data analysis
• Experience with Blueridge, Epicor P21, SAP, E3
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (Outlook)
• Highly motivated and detail oriented
• HVAC/R product knowledge preferred but not required.
• Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
