    Business Development Manager at Shiel Sexton:

    The primary responsibilities of the BD Manager include research, networking, development, and pursuit of new construction management opportunities within specific niche markets.In doing so, the individual's responsibilities will extend to strategic planning, extensive community engagement, and other duties related to business attraction and development.The role requires the BD Manager to own the sales process from account identification and qualification, strategy, proposal, reporting and closing phases.
    • Develop and manage company work pipeline using CRM platform
    • Manage sales engagements from start to finish, independently and as part of a team
    • Lead new client contact in assigned construction markets
    • Establish and maintain industry contacts leading to specific business opportunities
    • Consult with client to identify and define client's professional construction needs
    • Represent the company within selected industry organization/events
    • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that affect target markets
    • Develop and monitor strategic sales plans to achieve corporate goals
    • Lead the sales/proposal process and be responsible for the proposal and any contact/correspondence with the client/prospect
    • Develop and deliver presentations to key clients
    • Sales forecasting and planning
    • Other duties as assigned

    Experience and Qualifications:

    •Well versed on the general contracting and construction management category;

    •Ability to make compelling presentations-exceptional communications skills, both written and verbal;

    •Strong research and competitive analysis capabilities;

    •Existing relationships with decision makers in the region;

    •Team player with ability to work independently and autonomously;

    •Solid organization, time management and prioritization skills;

    •Extensive knowledge of the local and regional business landscape;

    •Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering or other relevant field preferred.
