Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 19 years of age.
At least one (1) year of education, training and/or experience in one or more of the following areas:
child development, teaching, counseling, social work, sociology, psychology, recreation, programming for youth.
At least six months of work experience with school-age children.
Ability to meet the suitability criteria for employment and/or certification licensure under the Alabama Child Protection
Act of 1999 and Act No
Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
Proficiency in oral and written communication skills.
Interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on communication and collaboration with a wide variety of people and groups.
Prepare, recommend, maintain and monitor budgets using appropriate software.
Ability to develop programming specific to the needs of students.
Ability to use technology to communicate, to manage data, and to produce/submit required reports, correspondence,
and/or financial information.
Physical strength, mobility, dexterity, stamina, and acuity to perform job responsibilities.
Ability to be punctual and in regular attendance.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may require.

Salary Range:
From/To Based on the Jefferson County Board of Education approved salary schedule: Site III (0-25 children) = $15.93/hr to $20.95/hr.
Site II children) = $16.54/hr to $22.43/hr. Site I (51+ children) = $17.19/hr to $23.26/hr.Additional Job Information
Part time, No benefits
Summer hours as available.
