Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA / Database Engineer to join a high-performing team supporting the Intelligence Community. This position involves advanced database engineering within a highly secure, large-scale, geographically distributed network environment.
The successful candidate will perform database risk assessments, evaluate alternatives for system-related concerns, and deliver solutions to complex technical challenges including distributed data replication, concurrent access, and high availability architectures.
The candidate will provide guidance and support for database engineering of large-scale systems, major system elements, and interfacing systems that are part of a large complex network environment with geographically distributed components.
Supporting database design, development, implementation, information storage and retrieval, data flow, and analysis activities. Assisting in developing databases, database parser software, and database loading software.Translating requirements and data into usable database schemas by creating or recreating ad hoc queries, scripts and macros, making updates to existing queries, and creating new queries to manipulate data into a master file.
Developing requirement recommendations from a project's inception to its conclusion for a particular Business and IT subject matter area (i.e. simple to complex systems).Developing database structures that fit into the overall architecture of the system under development.

TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
Security Clearance Required
Requirements
Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FS Poly): Poly must be within the last 5 years.
Proven experience as a Database Administrator in enterprise environments.
Strong expertise in:
Oracle databases, PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB, Relational and NoSQL database systems.
Proficiency in:
Oracle SQL/PLSQL, General SQL, JavaScript, Bash/Linux shell scripting, Perl, or Python
Experience with:
Data migration & replication, Backup & recovery, Performance tuning and Issue investigation and resolution
Ability to operate in highly secure, classified environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
10+ years of advanced database engineering experience.
Experience working within SAFe or Agile frameworks.
Experience with Cassandra.
Additional experience with MongoDB in production environments.
