    **Special Security Officer Clearance**

    Aquila Technology is seeking a Special Security Officer to join our team in supporting one of the country's premier defense research organizations.

    About the Role:

    The Special Security Officer oversees access control and classified materials, applying security policies to meet security objectives of the system.

    As a Security Analyst, you will ensure all security operations and maintenance activities are documented, and assess the effectiveness of security controls.

    Requirements:

    • Must be a U.S. Citizen - Authorized to Work in the US - Must be able to obtain a Active Clearance (Green Cards / Visas do not qualify)
    • Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background investigation and maintain a personal security clearance. (Aquila would sponsor you for the security clearance.)

    Must Have:

    • Currently holds a Top Secret/SCI clearance
    • 3 years of experience ensuring compliance with operational security and emergency action plans
    • Experience as a Security Officer or Control Officer
    • Familiarity with security management software, such as SIMS and government databases such as DISS
    • Investigates and documents security incidents, develops and manages corrective actions
    • NISPOM 32 CFR Part 117 experience
    • Oversee facility access control and assist with drafting construction security plans

    Security Compliance Experience:

    • Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO), Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO), Top Secret Control Officer (TSCO), or Program Security Officer (PSO)

    Regulatory Compliance Experience:

    • The ability to read, understand and apply government regulation, policies and procedure (DoD SAP/SCI Community and Intelligence Community directives and manuals, NISPOM 32 CFR Part 117, applicable ICDs, etc.)

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree or minimum of 3 years of work experience

    Computer Skills:

    • Familiarity with security management software, such as SIMS and government databases such as DISS (Defense Information Security System)

    Knowledge of Business Software:

    • Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Office, etc.

    Clearance Requirements:

    • Active TOP SECRET Clearance
    • Authorized to Work in the US
    • Must be able to obtain a Active Clearance

    Period of Performance:

    This position will be a 2 year contract to start
