    JOB SUMMARY

    The Team Leader obtains optimum efficiency in all crew/dept activities of the warehouse while improving human safety, quality, human performance, food safety, the environment, training, and sanitation performance.

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Monitor and coach employees on the importance of being personally responsible for their own safety behavior. Ensure that unsafe conditions are captured and corrected in a timely manner.
    • Develop crew members by communicating EOs individual and warehouse training plans.
    • Facilitate communication and consistency between shifts and teams. Conduct shift hand-offs with oncoming shifts.
    • Perform all job duties and operations in a safe manner, while following all state, federal and Litehouse regulations and policies.
    • Drive and lead warehouse team to improve daily performance and quality of shipments in a safe manner. Identify operational issues and partner with supervisors and EO's to implement solutions.
    • Load and unload materials and product onto or off pallets, skids or lifting device. Load trucks as needed.
    • May coordinate loads between offsites and plant locations, ensuring production has inventory on-hand as needed at all times.
    • Ensure all items produced and received to determine if specifications are met.
    • Responsible for accurate and timely paperwork and documentation. Provide coaching and feedback when errors occur.
    • Assist in new hire orientation as needed and promote a positive training experience.
    • Responsibility to adhere to food safety and quality policies, and report concerns to their supervisor. Correct any deviations.
    • Perform other activities and duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • High school diploma/GED strongly preferred
    • One to three years related experience or training
    • Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing equipment, work practices and processes.
    • Ability to work independently
    • Ability to multi-task, focus and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

    • Good interpersonal and communication skills. Has ability to build rapport with every level in the facility.
    • Experience with applying root cause problem solving tools.
    • Demonstrated ability to learn
    • Attention to detail by organizing time and resources efficiently
    • A sense of ownership and pride in their performance and its impact on the company's success.
    • Ensure compliance with food safety guidelines.
