    Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector, Airborne Multifunction Sensors Division (AMS), is seeking a Principal / Sr. Principal Contract Administrator based out of our Linthicum, MD office to join our F-35 Sensor Development and Production Operating Unit (OU) in the Tactical Fighters (TF) Business Unit (BU). In this role you will support the production programs and will report to the OU Contracts Manager.

    This position is a required hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days in the office, in Linthicum, MD, and offers the 9/80 schedule.

    What You'll Get to Do:
    • Cradle to grave contract administration.
    • Administer, extend, negotiate, and terminate standard and nonstandard contracts.
    • Apply sound judgment to proposal strategy, contract formation, and customer relationships.
    • Review and analyze customer Requests for Proposal (RFPs) to understand Statements of Work (SOW)/contract requirements and advise the program team on contractual terms and conditions.
    • Ensure company proposals are fully responsive to prospective customer requirements, prepare proposal submittal documents, and coordinate appropriate levels of internal review and approval.
    • Manage fact-finding, evaluation notices, and negotiations between customer and program team.
    • Build knowledge of FAR/DFARS.
    • Manage and administer Contractual Data Requirements List (CDRLs) and other reports.
    • Advise management of contractual rights and obligations.
    • Compile and analyze data.
    • Maintain historical information through the closeout process.
    This position may be filled as a Principal Contracts Administrator or Sr. Principal Contracts Administrator.

    Basic Qualifications:
    • Principal Contracts Administrator : Bachelor's degree with a minimum 6 years of experience in Contracts, Subcontracts, Business Management, or related field; or a Masters or JD with 4 years of experience in Contracts, Subcontracts, Business Management, or related field.
    • Sr. Principal Contracts Administrator : Bachelor's degree with 10 years of experience in Contracts, Subcontracts, Business Management, or related field; or a Masters or JD with 8 years of experience of experience in Contracts, Subcontracts, Business Management, or related field.
    • Ability to provide advice on a wide range of contractual and business-related matters including proposal strategy, estimating and pricing, audits, contract formation and customer relationships.
    • Ability to interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters. often requiring coordination between organizations.
    • Ability to gather, organize, and relay information and collaborate in a team environment.
    • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and accomplish them simultaneously.
    • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
    • Willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 10%.
    • US citizenship is required.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
    Preferred Qualifications for Both Levels:
    • Strong, working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and/or other government regulations
    • Experience with various contract types including Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and Time and Material contracts.
    • Law, business, or relevant advanced degree
    • Experience/familiarity with large federal programs / defense contracting
    • Proficient in daily use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), Adobe Acobat, and other PC programs and software.
    • Current, active DoD Secret clearance

    Salary Range: $84,600 - $127,000
    Salary Range 2: $104,900 - $157,300

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
