We boldly go.Job Summary To coordinate, organize and supervise all production process methods and engineering activities that enable production. This includes sustaining engineering, new product launch processes and continuous improvement activities.
The position is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining all production processes to drive quality and efficiency and to develop manufacturing plans which improve operations competitivenessThrive at work and at home:
Manages, develops, and improves all manufacturing standards including machine capability, process maps, set-ups, quality controls, tooling and fixture records, routings, and cycle times.
Performs line balances, capacity analysis, time studies, labor costing. Document what is normal state and then be able to identify actions to correct abnormal conditions.Develop and implement preventive maintenance program for equipment and set up recommended spare parts.
Develop and train to equipment Total Productive Maintenance program.
Train Maintenance department in troubleshooting of equipmentThis role will be on-site full time, and based out of our Trenton, NJ facility; and is considered a safety-sensitive role.
Qualifications:
BSME/BSIE/BSEE, (other engineering disciplines considered)- 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering environment. Able to lead projects with responsibility for plans, schedules, coordination, budget, and execution.
Key Competencies:
Ability to utilize engineering principles to develop robust manufacturing processes the first time Ability to quickly assess manufacturing/production/equipment issues using problem solving techniques to uncover root cause and implement corrective actionsAbility to use such management-leadership techniques such as; project mgt., objective development and project review disciplines Fluent knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering, assembly and quality control processes Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing (Kaizen, 5S, Standard Work, Poke-Yoke, Value Stream Mapping, etc.)Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Ability to resolve multiple conflicts between widely varying personalities.
Requires cross functional communication, simultaneous engineering and reporting Compensation:Base Pay Range:
$80,000-$100,000.
