- Understand electrical plans for new residential and commercial buildings, as well as electrical equipment.
- Create circuit diagrams for control purposes.
- Design effective electric circuitry for electrical systems.
- Detect and rectify defects in electrical systems and equipment.
- Estimate labor or material costs from blueprints or work plans.
- Generate invoices for labor and material used for each job.
- Communicate technical solutions clearly both orally and in writing in English.
- Collaborate with clients and relevant personnel.
- Provide updates to clients on task completion and timeframes.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and laws in New Zealand.
- Adhere to company safety protocols.
- Utilize and maintain hand tools and equipment required for electrical repair tasks.
- Meet company attendance and appearance standards.
- Carry out assigned tasks from managers or team members.
- Hold a CA electrical certificate (qualified electrician).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
A high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.) is preferred, but not mandatory, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Proficient in reading and interpreting safety rules, operation manuals, and writing routine reports. Effective communication skills at all employee levels.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical requirements include standing, reaching, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, and hearing. Lifting and moving up to 25 pounds, with specific vision capabilities.
