Duties
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and organizing ingredients to ensure timely meal service
- Support cooking activities by preparing basic dishes under supervision and following established recipes
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment to uphold food safety standards
- Handle food items safely, including proper storage, labeling, and disposal in accordance with health regulations
- Help with dishwashing duties and waste management to keep the kitchen organized and hygienic
- Support catering events or large meal preparations by setting up stations and assisting with serving when needed
- Follow all food safety protocols diligently to prevent cross-contamination and ensure quality standards are met
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; we welcome motivated learners eager to grow their culinary skills
- Basic knife skills and familiarity with cooking techniques are advantageous
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety regulations is beneficial
- Experience in meal or food preparation within the food industry enhances your ability to succeed in this role
- Prior kitchen experience or catering background is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
