- Must obtain and maintain appropriate hospital privileges according to PCHC policies and procedures.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit; stoop, kneel; and taste or smell.
- The employee must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum, frequent lifting/and or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Providence Community Health Center is hiring a Podiatrist
The Podiatrist (Medical/Surgical) focuses on evaluation and treatment of diseases of the foot and ankle with emphasis in health and conditions affecting the lower extremities. The care provided will be inclusive of initial assessment, minor procedures and procedures that require operative treatment in the hospital as well as appropriate triage where necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education -
Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) required. Active Rhode Island Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) license Drug Enforcement Agency license. Maintain appropriate hospital privileges in accordance with PCHC policies.
Experience - Five (5) years of experience in podiatric medicine preferred. Including ability to assess acute and chronic conditions of the foot/ankle with appropriate implementation of treatment plan (which may include triage to operative specialties)
* General Podiatry knowledge base
Minor procedures(in office) and procedures requiring the operating room. Bilingual and bicultural skills valued.
Must be clinically experienced to serve all age groups including, infants (birth to 11 months), toddlers (1-3 years), preschool (4-5 years), school age (6-12 years) , adolescent years), young adult years), middle adult years) and older adults (over 65 years of age).
