    Description


    The Facility Painter is a union position responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal of the venues through expert painting techniques and attention to detail.

    This position involves priming, painting, touch-ups, small drywall repairs, wallpaper installation, and wood finish touch-ups. The ideal candidate will prioritize sustainable yet effective product choices and operate painting equipment safely.
    Responsibilities/Essential FunctionsPrepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer.
    Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.
    Perform touch-ups and small repairs to maintain painted surfaces.
    Install and repair wallpaper as needed.
    Touch up wood finishes on doors, trim, and other wooden surfaces.
    Operate and maintain painting equipment, including ladders and electric lifts.
    Adhere to safety protocols when working at heights or with equipment.
    Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure project completion.
    Maintain inventory of painting supplies and equipment.
    Perform other duties as assigned.
    Position RequirementsFormal Education & CertificationMinimum of 2 years of experience as a painter.
    Completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training preferred.
    Knowledge & ExperienceProficiency in painting, priming, touch-ups, and wood finishing.
    Experience with wallpaper installation and small drywall repairs.
    Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
    Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
    Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately.
