    We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled

    Primary Care Physician

    to join our healthcare team at

    Ft. Campbell with the Intrepid Spirit Centers Anomalous Health Incidents (AHI) .

    The National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE) and Intrepid Spirit Centers (ISCs) are part of a specialized centers dedicated to improving outcomes for service members and families affected by traumatic brain injury (TBI) and related conditions.

    These centers deliver integrated, evidence-based, and patient-centered care through interdisciplinary teams, while also supporting research and education aligned with the Department of Defense's readiness and resilience priorities.

    Their model combines TBI rehabilitation, neurological and behavioral health care, integrative medicine, and skills-based training to develop collaborative, individualized treatment plans.

    In addition, providers use the Anomalous Health Incident Acute Assessment (DHA Form 244) to guide early evaluations of patients exposed to suspected AHIs, a condition still under scientific investigation with symptoms such as dizziness, headaches, hearing loss, and cognitive changes.

    This role offers an opportunity to work in diverse clinical settings, utilizing advanced skills in medical documentation, EMR systems, and patient education to improve health outcomes.


    Schedule:
    Hours of operation are between 6am and 6pm ( typically clinical hours are 7am - 4pm ).
    Staff members are expected to perform 8- or 10-hour shifts, for a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday.
    No on-call

    Qualifications:
    Must be a US citizen

    Degree/Education:
    Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.). Graduate
    from an accredited medical school in the United States or Canada. This degree must have
    been accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association;
    Association of American Medical Colleges; Liaison Committee on Medical Education;
    Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation of the American Osteopathic Association,
    or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S Department of Education and the Accreditation
    Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) at the time the degree was obtained (e.g.
    Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC), College of Family
    Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
    A Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from a foreign medical school must provide
    education and medical knowledge substantially equivalent to accredited schools in the United
    States. Evidence of equivalency to accredited schools in the United States is demonstrated by
    permanent certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates, a
    fifth pathway certificate for Americans who completed premedical education in the United
    States and graduate education in a foreign country, or successful completion of the U.S.
    Medical Licensing Examination.

    The DoD only recognizes certifications issued by the boards that
    are of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or the AOA Bureau of Osteopathic
    Specialists.

    Licensure:
    A current, valid, unrestricted medical license from a State, the District of
    Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.

    Internship/Residency:
    Successful completion of an internship and residency program
    (corresponding to the specialty required in the TO) which has been approved by the
    Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education or the Committee on Postdoctoral
    Training of the American Osteopathic Association. Subsequent to obtaining a Doctor of
    Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree, a candidate must have had at least one year of
    supervised experience providing direct service in a clinical setting (i.e., a one-year internship or
    the first year of a residency program in a hospital or an institution accredited for such training).
    For purposes of this requirement, graduate training programs include only those internship,
    residency, and fellowship programs that are approved by accrediting bodies recognized within
    the United States or Canada. Descriptions of such programs are described below.

    An internship program

    involves broadly based clinical practice in which physicians acquire experience in treating a variety of medical problems under supervision (e.g.,
    internal medicine, surgery, general practice, obstetrics-gynecology, and pediatrics).
    Such programs are in hospitals or other institutions accredited for internship training an
    appropriate accrediting body.
    A residency program


    involves training in a specialized field of medicine in a hospital or an institution accredited for training in the specialty by an appropriate accrediting body.

    A fellowship program

    involves advanced training (beyond residency training) in a given
    medical specialty in either a clinical or research setting in a hospital, or an institution
    accredited in the United States for such training.


    Duties:
    Perform a full range of physician services in accordance with privileges granted by the MTF,
    as a Primary Care of Family Physician on an interdisciplinary evaluation team; and provides
    treatment planning for warriors and beneficiaries with mild TBI and psychological health (PH) health issues.
    Conduct the initial medical intake evaluation, provides medical oversight for the
    beneficiaries, and works with referring providers at the patient's hometown to coordinate
    long term and follow- on treatment plan.
    Direct, perform, or assist in the instruction of other health care professionals within the scope
    of the clinical privileges or responsibilities.
    Coordinate with the care team, discusses matters pertaining to personnel, prioritization of
    projects and equipment, clinic policies and any phase of the clinical service program
    connected to TBI or PH evaluation, research and treatment planning.
    Examine, diagnose, treat or prescribe courses of treatment within the scope of training,
    experience, and privileges.
    Provide preventive and health maintenance care, including annual physicals, positive health
    behaviors, and self-care skills through education and counseling.
    Order diagnostic tests as applicable as well as request consultation or referral with
    appropriate physicians, clinics, or other health resources as indicated.
    Technically proficient in directing and teaching other medical staff, providing educational
    lectures and participating in the provision of in-service training to clinic staff members. Such
    direction and interaction will adhere to Government and professional clinical standards and
    accepted clinical protocols.
    In concert with government officials, resolve issues not covered by precedents or established
    policies, and coordinates work operations for matters that may adversely affect patient
    evaluation and treatment planning operations.
    Comply with regulatory, MTF, and Joint Commission quality inspection/ peer review/
    utilization management requirements, and applicable system applications.
    Serve as physician liaison to a referral management coordination call center, in support of
    care allocation for clinical referrals.
    Contractor employees shall prepare all documentation to meet or exceed established MTF
    standards, to include, but not limited to: timeliness, accuracy, content, and signature.
    Contractor employees shall only use DoD approved abbreviations for documentation in the

    encounters.
    Respond to beneficiary messages submitted and received in the MHS Genesis secure portal
    systems within one (1) business day.
