    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Design Engineer II is responsible for utilizing knowledge and experience to focus on equipment design and fabrication drawings, process engineering, project support, startup support, ensuring accuracy, neatness, and compliance to policies and procedures.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide equipment and process design from concept through to startup and operation on multiple projects by meeting timelines, minimizing costs, assuring proper design and specifications, generating and checking fabrication drawings, and thorough documentation.
    • Travel as needed to support project execution, provide technical assistance, training, including fabrication inspection.
    • Conduct engineering calculations and analyses related to process design and equipment.
    • Offer engineering support to customers and internal teams, respond to requests, and work efficiently to meet project requirements.
    • Review design and perform code calculations for pressure vessels.
    • Assume project manager responsibilities when necessary, aid in training Level I Engineers.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
    • 3-6+ years experience in Level II roles.
    • Proficient in:
    • Project scheduling, tracking, and reporting
    • Process Flow Diagram creation
    • Piping & Instrumentation Diagram creation
    • Plant Process design, layout, and sizing
    • Equipment layout and design
    • Establish and maintain effective relationships with co-workers, customers, and vendors.
    • Read, analyze, and interpret technical and commercial contracts.
    • Fluent in English, second language proficiency preferred.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to understand and convey technical information clearly.
    • Knowledge in AutoCAD required.
    • Preferred knowledge in Autodesk Inventor, CAD Vault, and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
    • Willingness to travel up to 25%, self-management of projects, and setting priorities.
