    Job Summary

    The Certified Clinical Lab Technologist plays a crucial role in providing accurate laboratory test results, identifying potential issues, and implementing corrective actions. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform high complexity testing and analysis, ensuring specimen processing, test performance, and reporting meet laboratory standards.
    • Maintain accurate records of quality control activities, instrument calibrations, and maintenance.
    • Identify and troubleshoot problems that may affect test performance or results, notifying supervisors as necessary.
    • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date with laboratory procedures and best practices.
    • Cleanliness and organization of laboratory areas, adhering to OSHA guidelines.
    • Notify physicians of critical lab values promptly.

    Requirements:

    • Physical ability to perform job duties, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 35 pounds.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective working relationships.
    • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of laboratory information systems.

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's or associate's degree in clinical laboratory science, microbiology, or relevant field.
    • Required certification by the ASCP or AMT.
