Sr. Project Manager - ERP Implementation

Charlotte, NC (on-site 2x per week)

Optomi, in partnership with an industry leading logistics company, is seeking a Sr. Project Manager to assist in leading an Oracle Transportation Management implementation. The Sr. Project Manager will be responsible for leading larger programs encompassing complex cross organizational global initiatives while exhibiting a complete understanding of the industry standards and processes. This role will be considered a senior team member of the Technology PMO, and be expected to work with little oversight, managing ambiguity, and collaborating with the Technology Leadership team on a frequent basis.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with senior leadership to plan, manage, and execute Technology projects of various levels of scope and complexity.
• Partner with third party vendors, as well as development teams, to set realistic and cost-efficient expectations.
• Facilitate project communications, including project steering committee meetings and status reports.
• Manage project risks and issues and implement mitigation plans and ensure that project goals are accomplished and in line with business objectives.
• Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel, including 3rd party vendors, to ensure the project delivers on schedule and within budget.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in business or a relevant field, or equivalent certifications and work experience 7+ years of experience leading traditional projects implementing complex technical solutions.
• 5+ years of experience working within a hybrid Agile software delivery environment.
• 5+ years of experience leading cross-functional and dispersed project teams
• 3+ years of experience forecasting and tracking project financials.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead teams and escalate challenges.
• Experience implementing ERP solutions (Oracle preferred)
• Experience in the supply chain or logistics industry
