Description

Las Vegas (possible hybrid opportunity)

Full-Time/Exempt
Summary:
Assists in civil engineering projects by performing the following duties after fully trained.
Essential Job Functions:
Site reconnaissance, including geologic site reconnaissance and geotechnical site layout
Subsurface explorations, including logging of geotechnical borings and test pit excavations
Laboratory tests and non-routine tests
Interpretation of geotechnical and geologic data
Geotechnical calculations/evaluations, including utilizing computer software
Literature search and review of relevant published documents
Geotechnical reports and letters including design evaluations, compliance letters, and pad certifications
Occasional construction materials testing & observations
Other duties as assigned
Education, Knowledge, and Skills Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or the equivalent thereof.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors
Excellent verbal and detailed writing skills
