    Senior Accountant

    Aveo Oncology is looking for a full time Senior Accountant to join its 9-person Accounting Team. This position will report to the Senior Controller and will focus on various month end close tasks and Accounting Team projects. This position will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP standards.

    Responsibilities
    • Assist in the month end close process with the posting of various journal entries related to Prepaids, Payroll, and Incentive Compensationaccruals.
    • Work with the Senior Controller and Senior Lead Accountant on the recording of the monthly revenue, gross to net adjustments, and inventory activity
    • Collaborate with the Senior Lead Accountant on the monthly purchase order accrualprocess.
    • Maintain accurate and thorough workpapers with detailedreconciliations.
    • Assist the Accounting Team in the completion of the year end external audit withKPMG.
    • Support the Accounting Team with the corporate tax filingprocess.
    • Maintain and further develop the Accounting Team's SOP's
    • Support the implementation of AVEO's new ERPsystem.
    • Work with the team on implementing a Procure to Pay Process
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
    • 5 + years of accounting experience, with prior Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry experience a plus
    • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality
    • Deadlineorientated.
    • Having the ability to work collaboratively across all the teams within theorganization.
    • Have the willingness to develop an excellent understanding of AVEO's accountingpractices.
    • Prior experience with NetSuite and/or SAP
    • ERP implementation experience is also aplus.
    The Accounting Team is looking for this new team member to have a strong willingness to roll up their sleeves and dive into the work on Day 1.
