The Winfield at Richmond Heights is a Senior Living community located in Richmond Heights that provides Independent and Assisted Living Services. Our Community promotes a warm and respectful atmosphere for all of our residents and staff.

The Winfield at Richmond Heights is currently searching for Dietary Server for an immediate hire.

This position is responsible to assure prompt, courteous and efficient service of meals in the dining room, in-room tray service and special events

This position reports to the Director of Dietary Services and the responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Be prompt. Report all absences or tardiness within two hours of starting time in accordance with company attendance policy
• Be respectful to residents, guests and employees
• Maintain a sense of responsibility for serving the entire group of residents during meal times
• Be neat, clean and in uniform-maintain standards for personal appearance
• Assist in the preparation and portioning of meal items as assigned
• Assure tables are clean and set up appropriately prior to each meal time
• Greet each guest and resident cheerfully and see they enjoy their meal, promote a pleasant and orderly environment
• Keep server stations clean, organized and well stocked. Maintain sanitary conditions at all times
• Fill condiments such as salt and pepper, sugar, sweetener, jelly and cracker caddies
• Wipe down chairs & tables after each seating
• Prepare all beverages for all residents needed for each meal
• Take and deliver orders of residents assigned to you
• Serve all persons at one table at the same time
• Remain in your section throughout meal time, keep beverages filled and pre-bus tables
• Monitor resident attendance at meals and report to supervisor if anyone is missing
• Participate in scheduled department meetings, in-services and safety drills
• Assist with putting away stock/inventory
• Complete department cleaning schedule
• Prepare salads, desserts, etc.
• Complete other tasks/duties assigned

• Must present the highest standards of customer service to all residents, family members, co-workers, and visitors
• Have friendly, outgoing personality and sincere desire to serve the aged
• Must be able to deal with residents under all conditions
• Must be willing to pitch in and work in areas other than dietary
• Must be adaptable to change
• Must have critical thinking ability, must be able to determine solutions to problems that arise
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to pass new hire physical and have clean background check
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis
