    General Surgery NP or PA

    We are seeking a skilled General Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at the Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska.

    About the Role

    • Work independently seeing pre- and post-op adult patients in the Surgery Clinic
    • Perform pre-operative surgical evaluations and potentially minor procedures

    Requirements

    • Certification as a Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant by an approved national certifying body
    • Drug Enforcement Administration Certification
    • State of Alaska Advanced Practice Nurse or PA License
    • Experience as an RN managing patients in a general surgery clinic
    • Astute clinical skills
    • Superior communication and relationship building skills
    • Flexible team player
    • Culturally sensitive

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Prior experience as a nurse practitioner, physician assistant or RN managing patients in a general surgery setting
    • Experience caring for a Native patient population
