    Job Description:

    A Controls Engineer opportunity is available, showcasing expertise in implementing automation solutions focusing on PLC, HMI, SCADA, and DCS/Delta V platforms. The role entails collaborating with clients, leading engineering teams to pinpoint requirements, craft specifications, and deploy/test/validate automation solutions. This leadership role requires robust problem-solving skills, effective interpersonal abilities, business acumen, and a knack for fostering partnerships. Success is gauged by securing recurring projects with both existing and new clients.

    Responsibilities:

    • Deliver inventive automation solutions independently or as a team leader.
    • Create, detail, and execute control systems for industrial processes and equipment.
    • Architect control system frameworks, choose components, detail schematic diagrams, and generate system documentation.
    • Code controllers (PLC, DCS/Delta V) and process visualization (HMI/SCADA).
    • Establish databases for storing/displaying historical system data.
    • Deploy and validate control systems at client sites.
    • Utilize controller programming languages and standard programming languages.
    • Design and implement industrial networking systems employing various protocols.
    • Oversee project duties, including devising execution plans, managing budgets, resolving conflicts, leading teams, and attending project status meetings.
    • Supervise daily operations and tasks of projects up to $10M, ensuring project profitability.
    • Serve as a technical lead, offering guidance to junior engineers and technicians, potentially overseeing smaller projects.

    Travel:

    • Approximately 25%, mainly local to Dallas.

    Working Environment:

    • Varied work settings, from office environments to industrial sites, frequent use of office equipment.


    Requirements

    • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical/Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Computer Science, or equivalent background.
    Experience:
    • Over 8 years of experience preferred.
    • In-depth knowledge of Emerson DeltaV platform.
    • Experience in PLC-5 to ControlLogix conversions.
    • Familiarity with various PLC and HMI/SCADA platforms.
    • Understanding of DCS platforms like Emerson DeltaV or similar.
    • Project Management experience with PMP certification is advantageous.
    • Knowledge of Batch/Recipes, OEE, MES, and ERP systems.
    • Diverse industry exposure in Semiconductor, Life Sciences, Building Automation, Food and Beverage, Water Treatment, and general manufacturing.
    • Proficiency in electrical schematic and control panel design, including AutoCAD.
    • Leadership experience managing engineering teams.
    • Professional references required.
