- 12-hour shifts 3 days a week or 4 10-hour shifts 4 days a week
- No Sunday or overnight shifts
- Provide guidance and support to direct patient care staff on a daily basis
- Ensure compliance with company and regulatory policies
- Participate in patient care plan meetings
- Stay updated on dialysis practices
- Train and orient staff when necessary
- Supervise staff for adherence to policies
- Ensure a safe working environment
- Conduct staff meetings
- Coordinate patient care activities
- Assess patient needs and respond accordingly
- Supervise equipment use
- Complete necessary training programs
- Assist with special projects
- Promote efficient use of supplies
- Attend Quality Assurance meetings
- Focus on specific departments or locations may be required
- Refer to department-specific addendum for additional functions
- Physical demands and work environment are typical of healthcare settings
- Employees may need to take color blindness test
- Day-to-day work involves interaction with patients and staff
- Travel between facilities may be necessary
- Work environment includes exposure to diseases
- Supervise direct patient care staff and assigned Ward Clerk
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing school (R.N.)
- Current state licensure
- Minimum of 9 months nursing experience, including 3 months in dialysis
- Certain experience requirements for charge nurses
- Supervisory or management experience is a plus
- Completion of hemodialysis training course
- Strong communication skills
