- Direct employees to execute sales driving initiatives.
- Support sales strategy and customer experience for the store and each department.
- Coach and train associates to improve performance and statistics through goal setting, floor coaching, and appraisals.
- Ensure store merchandising is correct and inviting for customers.
- Work with store associates to develop their learning and growth opportunities.
- Ensure customer service standards are met. Resolve customer problems or complaints by determining optimal solutions in a timely manner.
- Communicate all policies and procedures to employees.
- Work with associates to monitor merchandise stock levels, merchandise presentations, and ensure selling floor is adequately stocked according to visual standards.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of employee information including, but not limited to, time and attendance records, personal data, and payroll.
- Develop positive relationships with staff through consistent coaching and feedback.
- Coach and train associates to improve performance through coaching.
- Educate all associates and customers on all the services West Music provides, not only to support internal teams but to provide customers with the knowledge that we can service all their music needs.
- Partner with team to ensure customers are notified in a timely manner on information, product needs, and events.
- One to three years retail sales success.
- Experienced relationship builder with both internal and external customers and resources.
- Prior Band/Orchestra, Vocal or General Music experience required.
- The ability to work non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends.
- The ability to be licensed and insured as a driver of West Music vehicles.

Job DescriptionWorking as a Store Team Lead at West Music gives you the daily opportunity to provide our customers with the ability to Play now. Play for life. You work in partnership with the Regional Vice President of Sales to create a retail sales environment that provides an extraordinary customer experience resulting in loyal customers, a positive workplace culture, and successful business outcomes for West Music.
Providing day to day support for the Store Team Lead , you are a role model for the team in our challenging and collaborative environment. You will offer direct supervision, coaching, training, development, and performance management of West Music associates. In partnership with the Regional Vice President of Sale, you will develop the talents of West Music associates and build a sales culture where associates clearly understand what is expected to deliver business results. Driving positive outcomes of key sales indicators in support of revenue, gross margin, and service metrics is a key role of all store management.
