    Under the supervision of the Adult Education and Literacy Program Manager,

    the AE Business Liaison performs and oversees a variety of high level administrative and fiscal duties to ensure program compliance with federal, state, and local rules and guidance.

    Education Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree
    • Two years' experience directly related to state or federal grant budgets or combination of education, training or experience that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the essential functions.

    Special Knowledge and Skills

    • Proficiency in applying accounting principles and conceptual understanding of programs within established guidelines.
    • Governmental or cost accounting principles and practices.
    • Unique accounting issues relating to Federal, State and local grants.
    • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with staff and maintain teamwork within the
    organization and among multiple program participants.

    • Financial control and tracking of grant budget and expenditures, with knowledge of computerized information systems used in financial and/or accounting applications.
    • Serves as an operational liaison with internal and external department/agencies.
    • Proficiency in creating and maintaining record systems
    • Ability to problem solve, make decisions and coordinate appropriately with program staff and partners under pressure of deadlines.
