    Job Details:

    • Work 8-hour day shifts with two shift options: 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM
    • Rotating weekend schedule based on department need
    • On-call requirements: 1-2 weekday shifts per week and 1-2 weekends per month on a 6-week rotating schedule
    • Must work required summer holiday (Memorial Day, 4th of July, or Labor Day) and winter holiday (Thanksgiving or Christmas) per department need
    • Virginia license required at time of submittal
    • Must have 2 years recent scrub experience in complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases
    • Experience required in coronary artery bypass, ascending aortic aneurysms, valve repair and replacement, structural heart procedures (TAVR, Mitraclip), thoracic organ transplants, ECMO, and ventricular assist devices
    • Adult scrub experience required, pediatric scrub experience preferred
    • Must be able to multitask and apply critical thinking skills
    • Participation in numerous ongoing research protocols

    Required certifications:
    BLS (AHA), CST, and state registration


    • Overtime may be necessary
    • Epic access required
    • Floating within scope of practice
    • Must demonstrate excellent communication skills and be a team player
    • Free on-site parking provided
    • Must add any requested time off to end of contract for full 13 working weeks

    This medical campus operates a comprehensive cardiovascular and thoracic surgery program featuring advanced cardiac procedures and organ transplantation services.

    The facility maintains an active research program with numerous ongoing protocols and specializes in complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical cases.

    The organization provides state-of-the-art surgical suites and supports a collaborative team environment focused on delivering exceptional patient care in cardiovascular and thoracic specialties.

    Adex Job ID #INVAJP Pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
