    Centennial is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with subsurface (submarine) experience for a privately owned manufacturing company in Cincinnati, Ohio. Our client functions as an integrated part of the teams within Aerospace and Defense customer base. They specialize in solving intricate fabrication, machining, and assembly challenges, delivering resilient manufacturing solutions for their mission-critical programs.

    The ideal candidate is expected to handle customer inquiries and provide the manufacturing and production control departments with thorough documentation and essential information, ensuring the effective fulfillment of customer contract requirements.

    This person will report to either the Manufacturing Engineering Manager or the Program Manager.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Cost reduction and improved efficiency
    • Improved manufacturing processes and quality for current and future projects
    • Stabilize work force through accurate labor estimates and provides information related to cash-flow requirements
    • Review and respond to request for quotes to improve overall quality, productivity and understanding of customer requirements
    • Create routers for tools and cost-effective routing through the shop, identifying ways for expediting product where possible
    • Working knowledge of all Manufacturing processes, Machining , Fabrication, Assembly, NDT, heat treatment and coatings
    • Practical working knowledge of GD&T and Blueprint reading
    • Experience and knowledge of D.O.D. Contract manufacturing
    • Experience and working knowledge of Navsea welding and welding requirements
    • Experience of Breaking down large weldments into individual components with shrinkage and prep calculated into the component drawings
    • Capable of creating detailed weld build up drawing and weld claim sheets that call out each individual weld joint
    QUALIFICATIONS
    • Must be a US citizen
    • Bachelor's degree in industrial, mechanical or manufacturing engineering required
    • Minimum five years of experience with large turning, multi-axis milling, fabrication and assembly operations and machine tool applications required
    • Exceptional problem solving, troubleshooting skills, attention to detail and accuracy required
    • Excellent communication skills with ability to work with people at levels of the organizational
    • Working knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading is required
