Our corporate office is located near Kansas City, MO and includes our test lab where all designs are validated first before they are submitted for 3rd party validation.

    This new position is responsible for the growing development within our Louver products including a variety of high velocity, wind driven rain, and hurricane impact applications. You will be developing turnkey product applications from sales/customer concepts, design options, simulations, project management from rapid prototyping into mass production.

    How you will do it:

    • Review Sales plans to understand the scope of work and our customer needs.
    • Determine design feasibility, specifications, objectives, and forecast a predictable trial schedule.
    • Develop trial build instructions, validate quality control methods, including witness lab testing/builds.
    • DFM: Design for manufacturing, listening to the voice of the manufacturing plants.
    • Customer site visits improving the ease of installations and product improvements.
    • Able to present the development status to other departments, customers, and abroad.
    • Provide technical guidance along with sound engineering principles.
    • Develop lab test internally and externally to achieve US certified Accreditations to drive building codes.

    What we look for:

    • Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering
    • Proficiency in Autodesk products including AutoCad, Inventor, Revit, Vault.
    • High attention to detail and solid organizational skills.
    • Ability to make, read, analyze drawing designs and understand stack up tolerances & press fits.
    • Demonstrate the ability to work in team environments, good written and oral communicational skills, flexibility, and adaptability to changing situations.
    • Able to apply fundamental engineering theories, mathematics, mechanics, and physical science concepts to the job.
    • Development of Product Standard Drawings

    Preferred:

    • HVAC Louver Product Design Experience
    • Manufacturing experience with Welding, Assembly, and Machine Shops
    • GD&T Understanding
    • Project management skills
    • 3D Printing experience
    • Accreditations knowledge with 3rd party companies
