- Conduct thorough wound assessments and collaborate with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans.
- Administer and monitor advanced wound care treatments, including but not limited to wound vacs, dressings, and debridement procedures.
- Educate patients and their families on proper wound care techniques and prevention strategies.
- Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting care provided and progress made.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in wound care and incorporate evidence-based practices into daily routines.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in NY.
- Certification in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing (WOCN) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Wound Care Nurse in a healthcare setting.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
