    Main Purpose of Job

    This position is a clinical member of the ward-based treatment team and of the supervisory/operative level of the Social Work Department's Management Team. Social Work Supervisors are assigned to units at CTPHC and responsible for day-to-day unit planning and implementation of treatment interventions that support the patient's understanding of his/her illness, the offense or other dangerous behavior which contributed to their admission to CTPHC. At the supervisory level, this position provides administrative and clinical supervision to independently licensed and graduate level social workers at Clifton T. Perkins Hospital Center under the Maryland Department of Health. This position also coordinates the Social Work Internship program at CTPHC.\r

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Education: Determined by the Maryland State Board of Social Work Examiners under the licensing requirements for Social Workers.\r

    Experience: Four years of experience rendering clinical social work services in a health care or treatment setting subsequent to the receipt of an approved Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university.\r

    Note:�Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience at a rank of Corporal/Petty Officer or higher as a�commissioned officer in Social Work classifications or Social Work specialty codes in the Social Science, Psychology, and Welfare field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.\r

    DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    The desired candidate should possess the following:\r
    \r
    \r
    Experience with community residential programs including but not limited to those of the local Behavioral Health Administrations.\r
    Experience working with a high risk patient population.\r
    Experience working with Google Suite/Workspace.\r

    LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

    1. Employees in this classification must have a license as a Master Social Worker (approved for independent practice), Certified Social Worker or Certified Social Worker-Clinical issued by the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners.\r

    2.�Candidates appointed to positions in this classification may be assigned duties which require the\r
    operation of an automobile. Employees assigned such duties will be required to\r
    possess an appropriate operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.\r
