- Support continuous improvement initiatives
- Staffing: Approximately 20–25 FTEs across all shifts
- Systems & Technology: Laboratory Information System (LIS): Epic Beaker
- Specimen collection and documentation: Epic Rover
- Ref Lab Interfaced with SBMF (Pathology) and LabCorp (CP)
- Instrumentation: Chemistry: Roche cobas pure integrated chemistry/immunoassay platform
- Hematology: Sysmex hematology analyzers
- Coagulation: Siemens coagulation system
- Molecular / Rapid Testing: Cepheid GeneXpert for molecular diagnostics
- Urinalysis: Clinitek automated urinalysis system
- Blood Bank: Gel card-based testing
- Bachelor's degree AND 4 years lab training or experience in the high complexity testing specialties performed; OR
- Master's degree AND 2 years lab training or experience in the high complexity testing specialties performed; OR
- Licensed MD/DO, DPM or PhD AND certified in clinical pathology OR 1-year lab training or experience in the high complexity testing specialties performed
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a clinical laboratory with 3 years of microbiology and blood bank required
- Must meet CLIA 88 requirements as a supervisor
- Certification as a medical technologist or diplomate of Laboratory Management by an appropriate accrediting agency, ie., ASCP, AMT, NCA or equivalent
- Experience in high complexity testing specialties
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Knowledge of laboratory compliance and regulatory requirements
- Experience with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS)
- Familiarity with various laboratory instrumentation
