    Description

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    The Nurse Practitioner - Endocrinology - Outpatient is a licensed healthcare provider who actively provides direct patient care and possesses delegated prescriptive authority, working in specialty clinics specializing in various medical fields.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and medical histories of patients.
    • Order and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patient health.
    • Prescribe appropriate medical treatments and therapies.
    • Develop patient treatment plans based on assessments and evidence-based medicine.
    • Provide counseling to patients on health management.
    • Maintain detailed patient records and ensure timely referrals when needed.
    • Perform specialized procedures within scope of practice.
    • Manage patients in different healthcare settings.
    • Adapt patient care duties as per departmental requirements.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Knowledge of medical diagnosis and treatment techniques.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficiency in using computer applications.
    • Texas RN or RN licensure with compact privilege.
    • Current Nurse Practitioner license in Texas.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days.
    • Certification as an APRN for the patient population of focus.
    • Graduate of an Accredited Program with over 1 year of experience.
