    Responsibilities:

    We have an opportunity for a Risk Management Specialist to join our Berkley One team You will be responsible for supporting all Risk Management functions for the group.

    Key functions include but are not limited to:

    • Serve as workflow coordinator to ensure tasks are routed to field staff effectively, monitor progress and report results as appropriate
    • Perform reviews of client properties for the purpose of identifying underwriting concerns, potential hazards and determining appropriate levels of insurance to value
    • Assist in managing exposures caused by water damage, homes under construction, personal safety and security, natural disasters and other perils typical to the territory and clientele
    • Clearly communicate with clients, agency partners, and internal stakeholders ones findings and determinations and work to develop a plan to mitigate risk in a manner consistent with Berkley Ones philosophy
    • Perform other duties intended to develop relationships with agency partners
    • Support Berkley Ones growth in assigned territory by articulating our value proposition and services compared to the competition
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
    • 3+ years experience in personal insurance risk management, loss control, construction, residential or commercial appraising, underwriting, property claims or a related field position
    • Ability to identify potential causes of loss and develop appropriate recommendations
    • Ability to recognize various construction practices and understand building costs and associated issues
    • Exceptional oral and written communication skills; your communication style is flexible to the situation; you communicate clearly and with a purpose
    • Calm under pressure; you have excellent organizational skills, integrity, and great follow-through on tasks
    • You have a strong sense of accountability and natural curiosity; you love learning how things work and you are always looking for innovative improvements
    • Strong insurance and business acumen as well as experience in the high net worth marketplace preferred
    • This professional position requires scheduling flexibility and occasional extended hours in order to meet the needs of the customer.
    • Proficiency with the Microsoft suite of products and prior experience using e2value or other valuation software
