    Job Description:
    HDG is seeking an enthusiastic software engineer to provide software development and sustainment of C++ applications for the Department of Defense (DoD)
    Day-to-day efforts include working with highly talented professionals and subject matter experts to support mission-critical software systems that provide US Navy warfighters with the tools and resources for successfully planning and executing missions
    This is a full-time position based in San Diego, under our Software Solutions group

    Required qualifications:

    • Currently hold an active SECRET clearance or be able to obtain one
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or physics
    2-5 years of demonstrated full-stack software development experience with:
    o Object-oriented programming (e.g., C++, Java, JavaScript, Python)
    o RDBMS database design (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle DB, MySQL)
    o Source Code Management (e.g., Git)


    • Experience with Agile software development
    Experience with enterprise software and microservices architectures Desired qualifications:


    Software engineering experience with:
    o Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and web services (i.e., REST, AJAX, JSON)
    o CI/CD automation tools (i.e., Jenkins, Tekton)
    o Automated testing (i.e., Selenium, Cypress)
    o Static Application Security Testing (i.e., SonarQube, Coverity)


    • CompTIA Security+ Certification Salary at Highbury Defense is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements
    The projected compensation range for this position is $90,000-120,000
    The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Highbury Defense's total compensation package for employees
