Job summary
This Security Officer I reflects the mission and values of Northwestern Medicine. They are responsible for protecting patients visitors employees medical staff investigating and quelling disturbances restraining patients upon proper direction and assistance of medicalclinical staff performing regular perimeter internal patrols to assure protection of patients property and prevent unauthorized persons from entering the hospital conducting investigations into incidents hazardous conditions reported theft criminal activity security or safety issues monitoring access control system fire duress alarms security video system controlling traffic during incidents helicopter transports maintaining security of restricted areas providing escorts to vehicles delivering deceased bodies releasing same alerting department manager responding emergency codes enforcing all hospital policies procedures displaying a competent professional service image yet being approachable service minded at all times conducting contraband searches monitoring individuals situations ensuring patient employee safety overseeing parking permit process.
