Job description
Providing specialized speech-language pathology services in an educational setting in Yuba City, CA, this contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the communication skills and overall development of students. The role focuses on delivering tailored therapy to address speech and language disorders within a school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students presenting with speech and language difficulties
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with student goals and needs
- Facilitate therapy sessions targeting specific speech and language improvements
- Accurately document student progress and adjust interventions as required
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, counselors, and other professionals to support student success
- Involve and inform families in therapeutic activities and strategies for carryover at home
Qualifications And Experience
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is preferred
- Experience working with pediatric and/or school-aged populations is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills and the capability to work both independently and within a team
Additional Requirements
- Active license approved by the State Board of Speech-Language Pathology for the respective state
- Ability to obtain or currently hold a Masters degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology
