The Cardiovascular Operating Room Surgical Technologist is responsible for assisting in the care and preparation of cardiovascular surgical patients by preparing the operating room, selecting and handling instruments, and maintaining a sterile field throughout procedures.This position requires advanced knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures, including open heart, thoracic, and vascular cases.
- Prepare the CVOR with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment prior to surgical procedures.
- Assist cardiovascular surgeons during procedures by anticipating needs and providing appropriate instruments.
