    JOB SUMMARY:

    Distributes materials and equipment as authorized or requested and maintains inventories and internal controls. Helps to establish and place into service prescribed minimum/maximum quantities with automatic re-order points to ensure timely availability of items needed for plant operations. Coordinates with the controller to conduct both physical counts as well as cycle counts.

    I. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Receives incoming shipments of materials into the warehouse (inside or outside) and verifies items received for accuracy and completeness against shipping documents.
    • Efficiently stack and safely store materials in their designated area.
    • Organizes paperwork from deliveries to be sent to accounting daily.
    • Maintains inventories and internal controls by tracking and organizing supplies.
    • Daily provisions materials for jobs.
    • Adheres to company policies as they relate to checking in or out materials and supplies.
    • Assist with the physical inventory and conduct cycle counts.
    • Prepares RMAs and informs the Purchasing Agent of the returns for defective material and equipment as needed.
    • Performs all other related duties as assigned by the Controller.
    Requirements

    II. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:
    • High School diploma or equivalent plus two to three years of purchasing experience.
    • Previous experience in warehouse or materials handling preferred.
    • Knowledge of telecommunications materials, supplies, and equipment preferred.
    • Knowledge of automated purchasing and inventory control systems.
    • Knowledge of company products and services.
    • Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
    • Computer skills (MS Office, Excel, and Word), various software programs, and telephone systems.
    • Experience operating a forklift and pallet jack is preferred.
    • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
    • Communicate with co-workers in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Understand and organize purchase orders, receipts, issue tickets, packing slips and sales invoices.
    • Detail oriented and organized.
    • Function as a team player.
    III. ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Valid Oklahoma driver's license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle appropriate for the job position.
    IV. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
    • Seeing - Must be able to see well enough to read service orders and trouble reports, colors of fiber: 75-100%
    • Hearing - Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with employees and business contacts: 75-100%
    • Standing/Walking - Must be able to move about the work site: 0-24%
    • Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling - Must be able to climb, stoop, kneel and crawl to perform installations: 0-24%
    • Lifting/Pulling/Pushing - Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs.: 25-49%
    • Fingering/Grasping/Feeling - Must be able to write, type, and use phone system: 75-100%
    V. WORKING CONDITIONS:

    This factor measures the surroundings or physical conditions under which a job must be done and the extent to which those conditions make the job pleasant or less agreeable. Consider the local climate and or weather conditions along with the presence and relative amount of exposure to dust, dirt, heat, fumes, contaminants, cold, noise, vibration, wetness, etc.

    Normal working conditions with the occasional times working in disagreeable conditions.
