    Hendrick Automotive Company Sales Representative Role

    Job Summary:

    Sell new or used vehicles at a profit to the dealership, ensuring customer satisfaction.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Meet dealership sales goals.
    • Greet customers and determine vehicle preferences.
    • Explain features and demonstrate vehicle operation in the showroom or on a test drive.
    • Suggest optional equipment for purchase.
    • Compute and quote sales prices, including tax, trade-in allowance, and discount.
    • Complete paperwork accompanying vehicle sales, including preparing sales slips or contracts.
    • Arrange for vehicle delivery and registration.
    • Research model and optional equipment availability.
    • Engage in business development and address customer concerns.
    • Maintain Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) at or above company standards.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
    • Participate in required training and maintain accurate records of worked hours.
    • Familiarize yourself with safety rules and regulations and adhere to them.
    • Demonstrate core values and comply with company policies and procedures.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    To succeed in this role, you must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily. The following qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

    • Desired Education: GED, High School Diploma, Associate Degree, Bachelor Degree, Master Degree, Doctorate Degree.
    • Field of Study/Work Experience: Accounting, Automotive, Business, Human Resources, Information Technology.
    • Desired Work Experience: Up to 3 years, 3-5 years, 5+ years.
    • Prior sales and/or customer service experience desired.
    • Certificates and Licenses: Valid Driver's License, Automobile Salesperson License.
    • Computer Skills: Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products and web applications for customer management.
    • Communication Skills: Ability to understand and follow instructions, communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
    • Attendance Requirements: Regular and predictable attendance required, with scheduled shifts potentially including evening hours, weekends, and holidays.
    • Physical Demands: Frequent standing, walking, and sitting while performing duties.
    • Environment Demands: Duties performed indoors and outdoors, with potential exposure to various work environments and tasks.
