We're currently seeking a Real Estate Paralegal III to join our Headquarters team
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal (Paralegal III) to play a lead role in managing complex real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, development, and commercial leasing. This role requires strong knowledge and experience working on commercial real estate transactions, exceptional attention to detail, strong transaction management skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with attorneys, business units, and external partners.
What You Will Do:Legal Document Preparation:
- Support attorneys and independently manage most phases of commercial real estate transactions from letter of intent through closing.
- Draft, review, and revise transactional documents, including purchase and sale agreements, ground leases, estoppels, SNDAs, escrow instructions, closing documents, and ancillary agreements.
Due Diligence & Transaction Support:
- Address routine real property related legal issues that arise at Mister locations across the country, including small disputes, notice requirements, document updates, vendor or landlord correspondence, and resolution of property-level legal questions
- Order, review, and analyze title commitments, pro formas, title exception documents, surveys, zoning reports, ALTA endorsements, and environmental reports.
- Identify and resolve title and survey issues; coordinate directly with title officers, surveyors, and municipal agencies.
- Prepare and manage detailed closing checklists, monitor deadlines, circulate deliverables, and maintain transaction status updates.
Records Management:
- Draft and maintain critical date abstracts for purchase/lease agreements and assist with amendments and renewals.
- Organize, maintain, and archive transaction files.
- Prepare post closing binders, summaries, and documentation for internal teams.
Administrative & Research Support:
- Perform research related to property records, easements, land use, zoning, and corporate documentation.
- Support real estate, construction and development teams by performing research related to property records, easements, land use, zoning, and corporate documentation. Providing recommendations as requested.

How You Will Shine:Education:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree in legal studies, Paralegal Studies, or a related field OR combination of education/work experience.
Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience working in commercial real estate including drafting real estate documents and experience performing real estate due diligence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, and document management systems.
- Experience drafting and negotiating general commercial agreements preferred.
- Excellent research, drafting, and organizational skills with a focus on accuracy.
- Ability to manage numerous transactions simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a growth mindset.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Strong experience drafting and negotiating real estate contracts.
- Strong experience completing real estate due diligence (including review of title, survey and environmental site assessments).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Teamwork orientation and ability to collaborate with legal staff.
- Initiative and personal accountability.
- Proficiency in calendaring and document filing systems.
