The facility is seeking a Inpatient Psychiatrist to join its behavioral health team in Bronx NY This full-time position includes leadership responsibilities as a Unit Chief overseeing a psychiatric inpatient unit supported by Nurse Practitioners and residents The Psychiatrist will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated high-quality patient care while contributing to the hospital's teaching and training missionResponsibilities
- Provide psychiatric evaluation diagnosis and treatment for patients on the inpatient unit
- Serve as Unit Chief supervising a team of Nurse Practitioners and 3 residents
- Teach and mentor residents and medical students in both clinical and academic settings
- Carry a limited number of direct patient cases while maintaining leadership oversight duties
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nursing social work psychology deliver comprehensive care/li>Maintain accurate timely documentation in the electronic medical record EMR/li>
