    Job Location: One Henkel Way, Rocky Hill, CT 06067

    Position Type: contract( 12 months) with possible extension

    Pay rate $25/hr on w2 with Benefits

    Education:


    •Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline, Chemistry, Biology, or a science field.


    • Experience in a chemical laboratory, working with adhesives or coatings is preferred.


    • Ability to gather, understand, and interpret chemical, physical, and mechanical data.


    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other team members in product development programs.


    • Solid interpersonal skills. Candidate must be able to work as a team member and independently on multi-task assignment

    Qualifications:


    •Laboratory experience


    •Computer literate in Microsoft Office products - word, excel and powerpoint.


    •Ability to understand and follow experimental protocols for preservation of data.


    •Comfortable and able to work with toxic chemicals while following safe laboratory practices/protocols.


    •The ability to stand while working in the laboratory throughout most of the day.

    Responsibilities:


    •Under the supervision of a Senior Technician, the Technician will be expected to perform the following functions with a high level of initiative and independence:


    •Testing of adhesives.


    •Evaluate, collect and record data.


    •Participates in organizing and performing experiments using established procedures while summarizing and reporting results in a laboratory notebook.


    •Uses a computer to enter data/information including charts and tables for communication of project results/details.


    •Programming of robots, comfortable with a variety of curing and dispensing equipment.
