    Purpose of Position
    The Senior Admissions Counselor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the entire process of recruitment, admissions, and enrollment, focusing on an assigned territory. This position will be regionally (remote) based in the Lexington, KY area. This role involves developing and nurturing relationships with high school guidance counselors and community college coordinators to effectively attract and recruit prospective students for NKU.

    Additionally, a key aspect of this role is to continually enhance and refine the recruitment strategies to attract a diverse and talented pool of prospective students. This involves staying updated on industry trends, understanding the needs and preferences of students, and implementing effective marketing and communication initiatives to promote the institution and its programs.

    Primary Responsibilities
    • Lead the outreach efforts for undergraduate recruitment in assigned market segments, implementing strategies to attract prospective students effectively.

    • Implement the office's comprehensive recruitment strategy, including scheduling and coordinating high school visits, college fairs, community college visits, and community events to maximize outreach and engagement.

    • Utilize Slate or a similar platform to create compelling and effective communications, such as emails, newsletters, brochures, and other materials, to engage with prospective students and provide relevant information about NKU and its programs.

    • Provide pre-admissions counseling to families and prospective students, offering guidance and information about NKU, its programs, admission requirements, and the application process.

    • Respond to student inquiries promptly and professionally through various communication channels, such as email, phone calls, and other recruitment activities, ensuring excellent customer service and addressing any concerns or questions.

    • Develop and deliver engaging recruitment presentations to prospective students and their parents, showcasing NKU's features, academic offerings, campus life, and opportunities available.

    • Take ownership of meeting applications, admissions, and enrollment goals, actively working towards achieving and exceeding these targets, while contributing to the overall success of the admissions department.
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's Degree and two years of experience in higher education admissions recruiting required.
    • Must be willing to travel. Valid driver's license and have access to reliable transportation required.

    • Ability to develop and execute comprehensive recruitment and admissions strategies to attract a diverse and talented pool of prospective students.
    • Must have excellent inter personal and relationship building skills, strong analytical and organization skills, strong communication skills to effectively communicate with prospective students, parents, and stakeholders.
    • Strong customer service skills to provide pre-admissions counseling, promptly respond to inquiries, and deliver exceptional support to prospective students throughout the admissions process.
    • Results driven with an ability to make accurate and deliberate decisions and ability to exercise discretion and maintain privacy.
    • Understanding and appreciation of diversity, ensuring inclusive recruitment practices to attract a diverse student body.
