- Provides guidance and direction to project design team by managing workload, scheduling, project timeline, QA/QC, and other tasks as needed within the scope of a project
- Supports the professional and technical development of the team by providing oversight and constructive feedback on project deliverables
- Pursues and wins contracts within the State and various municipalities
- Presents new ideas and techniques to clients and stakeholders
- Supports efforts in proposal development (private and public), project scoping, and the development of client relationships
- Tracks budgets using financial metrics
- Participates in professional associations and attends industry networking events
- Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of Texas
- 10- 15 years multi-discipline experience in traffic engineering, with experience in managing teams of 10 or more employees
- Ability to manage multiple work assignments and/or contracts for multiple clients simultaneously
- Ability to technically and professionally mentor members of project team
- Ability to remain flexible to changing client demands
- Ability to act independently when responding to project needs.
- Exceptional ability to develop and maintain professional relationships
