    Summary:


    Goldbelt Professional Services, LLC (GPS) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team and support projects related to pandemic preparedness and response within the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Roybal Campus in Atlanta, GA.

    The CDC is the nation's premier health promotion, prevention, and preparedness agency. The selected candidate will report to GPS leadership to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality deliverables for the client.

    Responsibilities


    Essential Job Functions:

    • Develop strategic communications materials (reports, slides, spreadsheets, etc.) to convey the implementation of Pandemic Preparedness Coordination Unit (PPCU) functions to stakeholders.
    • Support change management and communication activities to disseminate decisions to NCIRD staff and external partners based on unit identities aligned with new strategies, plans, and goals.
    • Assess, recommend, and support the implementation of PPCU within new structures.
    • Support the updating of NCIRD Strategic Planning documents for preparedness portfolios, integrating existing foundational work and planning complementary activities.
    • Provide support to leadership for the ongoing management of pandemic preparedness efforts related to current and known threats like COVID-19 and influenza, as well as emerging pandemic threats.
    • Facilitate opportunities for leadership engagement on strategic and tactical output.
    • Support planning and implementation of communications materials for NCIRD All Hands Meetings, NCIRD Senior Leadership Meetings, and other standing meetings to socialize and roll out strategic planning activities.
    • Support NCIRD OD leadership and Associate Directors, Division Preparedness leadership, and other stakeholders across the center.
    Qualifications


    Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

    • Strong analytical skills with experience in developing strategic communications materials, including reports, slides, and spreadsheets.
    • Ability to effectively manage change and communicate decisions to diverse stakeholders.
    • Experience in assessing and recommending implementation strategies for organizational structures.
    • Proficiency in updating and integrating strategic planning documents.
    • Demonstrated expertise in pandemic preparedness and response, including knowledge of infectious diseases and respiratory viral disease management.
    • Excellent program and partner management skills, particularly within CDC or similar organizations.
    • Strong independent work ethic, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to achieving customer and company objectives.
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse audiences.
