    General Information:

    Adjunct faculty teaching is limited to a maximum of 8 credit hours in the summer semester, 12 credit hours in the fall semester, and 12 credit hours in the spring semester.

    These limits are for total number of credit hours taught in the Virginia's Community Colleges (VCCS). Additional restrictions may apply depending upon other positions occupied within VCCS.

    Responsibilities: The Division of Engineering, Business and Public Services at Brightpoint Community College augments full-time teaching faculty with qualified part-time instructors to enhance the student learning process. Teach oxyacetylene, shielded metal arc, and inert-gas welding including equipment, safety operations, and welding practice. Involves classroom and laboratory instruction.

    Qualifications:

    Required Qualifications:

    High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field or an Associate or Baccalaureate degree with minimum of 4 years of experience in the field.

    Excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Successful completion and passing of a criminal background check is required.
