Description
Praxis Endocrinology Services Northwest is looking for friendly and energetic Medical Assistants with outstanding people skills to join our team.
Qualified candidates will have a collaborative team spirit and a willingness to support the needs of our patients as well as the goals of the job and the team.
In this role, you will work in collaboration with the healthcare team to assist physicians/providers in the delivery of exceptional patient care.
Must have exceptional customer service skills, be highly organized, and detail orientedExperience with electronic medical records is a plus
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Medical Assistant - 1Captures and accurately documents full vitals (Blood pressure, temperature, weight, height, O2, pulse)
Thoroughly updates the medication list with any reconciliation needed. Captures patient's chief complaint and enters into electronic health records (EHR) system.
Completes room turnover process (including, but not limited to cleaning-re-stocking).
Stocks examination rooms/notifies supply personnel when items are low.
Completes "tasks" and phone calls daily with guidance from supervisor or ACA.
Performs EKG, injections, vaccines under supervision.
Medical Assistant - 2
Assists provider with minor medical procedures.
(Completes chart prep based upon provider schedules, including but not limited to pulling Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP), getting consents ready.
Makes increasingly more complex phone calls that require skilled communication and decision-making skills.Under supervision the MA III may order and perform CLIA waived tests.
Medical Assistant - 3
Independently performs EKGs, Injections, Vaccines, Ear irrigations, CLIA Waived tests (UA, Strep, Flu, COVID, HCG), PKU, Hemocue, lab draws and teaches others the skills to perform these tasks.
Completes special projects that help support the overall improvement of Praxis Health.Medical Assisting diploma from an accredited vocational institution, a community college program in medical assisting preferred.
Minimum one year of recent experience working in a medical facility as a Medical Assistant, Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), Caregiver or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) preferred.
Current health records with the appropriate immunization to work in the health care field (Hepatitis B and Tuberculosis).Praxis Health is a family of medical groups providing high quality healthcare throughout the state of Oregon.
