    Description

    About the Role:

    • Support the Member & Customer Relations team by answering phone calls and emails, maintaining the mail room, interacting with members, and resolving issues efficiently.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Act as one of two representatives to all office visitors.
    • Respond professionally to telephone calls and manage the general voicemail system.
    • Handle outgoing mail and occasional bulk mailing as well as incoming packages.
    • Process and fulfill publication and eLearning orders.
    • Oversee inventory, supply orders, and maintain shipping center supplies.
    • Assist in maintaining the membership database, processing renewals, and addressing membership inquiries.
    • Make sales calls and provide support for the Consultants Listing.
    • Train new employees and assist with various administrative projects.

    Qualifications:

    • 0-2 years of office experience, strong customer service, organization, and communication skills.
    • Able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
    • Bilingual in English & Spanish preferred.
    • Associates Degree in Business or related field preferred.
    • Hands-on experience with an Association Management System (AMS) preferred.

    • Flexibility to respond to multiple requests and shifting priorities.

    Residency Requirement: AIHA only employs individuals living in Washington, DC, Maryland, or Virginia.

    Travel: Travel to the annual conference may be necessary.
