    Job Description Job Description Addison Group Los Angeles seeks an Accounting Manager (Cost) to join an ever-evolving manufacturing company located in Ventura to support the Accounting Department.

    Job You will oversee and consolidate accounting functions for both the companys California and Texas offices. You will manage a team of several accounting professionals. The hired Accounting Manager (Cost) will report to the Controller.

    Compensation/Benefits Salary range is $120,000-$130,000/year. The hired professional will receive a quarterly bonus as well as the usual health benefits.

    DUTIES OF THE ACCOUNTING MANAGER (COST)General Ledger (G/L) Accounting Oversee your staff during the month-end and quarter-end closing processes, including preparing journal entries, performing inter-company transactions, and performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations Post all relevant entries and inventory transactions Reconcile all intercompany transactions and accounts Interact with other divisions of the company Consolidate financial statements of the companys California and Texas officesCost Accounting Prepare monthly close and flux analysis on all accounts related to inventory, material, labor, and overhead cost variances Use the companys Material Requirements Planning (MRP) cost accounting system to work with revenue, gross margin, inventory, and variance analysis Post all Inventory data to the G/L Audit all cycle counts Analyze manufacturing variances (budgeted v.

    actual) Process inventory transactionsFinancial Reporting Assist in quarterly and annual SEC reporting Prepare balance sheet and P&L account analysis & reconciliationsCompliance and Controls Perform risk assessments and maintain SOX controls Assist in all internal and external auditsCredit Monitor all credit histories of the companys clients Recommend credit parametersMiscellaneous Accept other ad hoc duties as neededQUALIFICATIONS OF THE ACCOUNTING MANAGER (COST)Required Bachelors Degree in accounting or Business Administration with an Accounting focus Corporate General Ledger experience Technical Accounting and Research experience Supervisory experience Consolidations Current or prior employment at a manufacturing companyPreferred CPASKILLS OF THE ACCOUNTING MANAGER (COST)RequiredTechnical High-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, IF Formulas) Significant experience in a large ERP systemInterpersonal Strong analytical experience Embraces supervisory role with clear direction, expectation and guidance Detail oriented, with high level of ethics and integrity Collaborative and outgoing Ability to juggle multiple projects Sharp learner Excellent presentation skills to executivesFor further information, submit your resume in MS Word format to me.
